1 A.M. Spotlighted in Gilroy Dispatch: Highlighting Local Music
I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to share a part of my journey as Hip Hop artist 1 A.M. with the readers of the Gilroy Dispatch. My hope is that this exposure will pave the way for more opportunities for local artists and musicians in Gilroy.
I envision a vibrant Gilroy music scene that celebrates all genres of music, not just those deemed “acceptable” by some. Our community is brimming with talent that deserves to shine without any restrictions.
As a Hip Hop artist in our town, I’ve experienced firsthand the limitations that can come with this label. However, I’m determined to demonstrate the distinction between authentic Hip Hop and the mainstream rap that many people are familiar with.
I’m thrilled about the prospect of driving positive change in our music community. I want to express my heartfelt thanks for your support. Together, let’s show the world the power of music to make a positive impact!

We also discuss my latest music release Window, which is my 17th studio project! The album is sponsored by the Santa Cruz Arts Council and was meant to bring hope to those struggling with mental health due to life struggles.
